Automation and digitalization set the direction after EMO Hannover

EMO Hannover 2025 once again set the scene for the future of manufacturing. For Duroc Machine Tool, the exhibition was a strong confirmation that automation, digitalization and intelligent machine solutions are among the key drivers for strengthening prod

Focus on automation

One of the clearest trends at EMO 2025, according to Duroc Machine Tool’s CEO Søren, was the strong focus on automation.

“We see a clear shift towards solutions where robot technology, pallet systems and material flow work together, enabling machines to run 24/7. It is all about increasing productivity without compromising on quality,” Søren explains.

Several of the solutions presented at the DN Solutions booth demonstrated how flexible automation can be adapted to both small and large series. This flexibility is particularly important for manufacturing companies that frequently switch between different parts and orders.

Digitalization and artificial intelligence entering production

Another theme at the exhibition was digitalization and AI. According to Søren, the topic filled somewhat less than expected, but the solutions that were highlighted showed great potential.

“We saw several examples of how AI can be used for data collection, monitoring and proactive maintenance. This is data that can help reduce downtime but also optimize service efforts.

At the same time, technologies such as Digital Twin and intelligent machine controls are gaining ground, which can make production both more flexible and more efficient,” he says.

DN Solutions DVF 5000 2nd gen and DNX 2100 drew attention

Two machines in particular stood out at the DN Solutions booth.

While functionality and specifications were in focus, their new design was also a hit among visitors.

The DNX 2100 is DN Solutions’ latest multitasking machine, supporting both advanced turning and high-speed milling. Visitors were especially interested in its modern control, strong spindle power and improved ergonomics.

In addition, the new generation of the DVF 5000 was one of the absolute highlights at the booth. Designed for 5 axis machining, the machine delivers high stability and precision for complex parts. Attention was especially on the updated spindle, improved cooling and faster tool changes of this new generation.

More than just machines

Duroc Machine Tool also highlights that future competitiveness is not only about the machine itself but about the complete solution which includes automation, software, service and collaboration.

“We return from EMO with confirmation that our strategy is the right one. Combining strong machine solutions with an increased focus on automation, service and close customer collaboration.

This is how we can raise productivity in the industry together,”

Søren concludes.
