    The new DHF 5500 from DN Solutions is a 5-axis horizontal machining center developed for manufacturers who refuse to compromise – on precision, uptime, or capacity.

    The machine complements the DHF 8000 series and opens up even more flexible 5-axis machining of medium to large workpieces.

    The DHF 5500 is built on a foundation of high rigidity.

    The horizontal spindle combined with a tilting table featuring A-axis rotation from -180° to +45° ensures stable and predictable machining – even in demanding environments with heavy-duty cutting.

    The dual ball screw design on the Z-axis and linear scales on all axes are not coincidences, but carefully considered design choices that eliminate backlash and ensure positioning accuracy holds – hour after hour, shift after shift.

    In addition, the ball screws and spindle nut are actively cooled, suppressing thermal deformation and keeping tolerances in check even during extended machining sequences.

    Spindle Flexibility for Every Application.

    The DHF 5500 is available with a high-speed spindle in three configurations: 15,000, 20,000 or 30,000 rpm – depending on your material and production profile.

    Whether you are machining metal and aluminium at high speed or working in steel with large depths of cut, there is a spindle configuration for the job.

    The control system is Siemens SINUMERIK ONE, which supports full simultaneous 5-axis machining and provides the operator with a modern, intuitive interface to work with.

    Large Workpiece Capacity with Efficient Pallet Changing.

    With a pallet size of 630 × 630 mm and a maximum workpiece capacity of Ø900 × H760 mm, the DHF 5500 is a strong choice for medium to large workpieces with complex geometries.

    The servo-driven automatic pallet changer (APC) minimises downtime between workpieces and makes the machine ready for integration into larger automation setups – including a Round Pallet System (RPS) or Linear Pallet System (LPS).
